Job Description: Logistics Executive
A Logistics Executive is responsible for managing the end-to-end movement of goods, ensuring that supply chain operations are efficient, cost-effective, and timely. This role bridges the gap between procurement, warehousing, and final delivery.
Core Responsibilities

Shipment Management: Coordinating daily inbound and outbound logistics operations, including air, sea, and road freight.

Documentation & Compliance: Preparing and managing critical shipping documents such as Bills of Lading, Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists, and Certificate of Origin. Ensuring adherence to customs regulations and international trade laws.

Vendor Coordination: Liaising with freight forwarders, transporters, and third-party logistics (3PL) providers to negotiate rates and monitor service levels.

Inventory & Warehousing: Monitoring stock levels and coordinating with warehouse teams to ensure seamless dispatch and receipt of materials.

Tracking & Reporting: Utilizing ERP systems (like SAP or Oracle) to track shipments in real-time and providing stakeholders with regular status updates.

Cost Optimization: Analyzing logistics spend to identify opportunities for cost reduction while maintaining delivery speed and safety.
Required Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.

Experience: Typically 2–5 years of experience in logistics, freight forwarding, or distribution.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Excel (Advanced) and experience with ERP software (e.g., SAP Material Management module).

Knowledge: Strong understanding of Incoterms 2020, customs clearance processes, and transport documentation.
