• Position: HSE Executive

    Position Summary: The position is responsible for ensuring that the business is legally compliant with all safety and health rules and regulations. The incumbent is required to work with as well as train employees to better manage, check, and improve the health and safety standards and regulations within the workplace.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Work closely with the Safety and Health officers and manager to ensure compliance requirements are controlled, documented, and maintained in accordance with the regulations and guidelines.
    • Formulate the strategic direction for effective health and safety management and appropriate workplace wellbeing programs for company employees (including mental health & first aid).
    • Prepare Audit plan in SAP system if required as well as prepare audits under audit plan or individually without audit plan as required. Furthermore, formulate a question list for specific audits.
    • Ensure inspections by regulatory agencies are coordinated and deficiencies are minimized and corrected. Coordinate with officers and executives on facility deficiencies and monthly safety inspections.
    • Accountable for researching and writing permit applications and being compliant in completing permit report requirements in SAP and manually
    • Develop and maintain all environmental, safety and sustainability programs, policies, and procedures.
    • Deal and maintain all safety records, analyze trends, report on statistics, and manage non-compliance as well as manage all near misses, hazard/accident investigations and reporting.
    • Evaluate and review existing, new, and upcoming health and safety legislations and verify that company has systems and procedures in place to meet legal compliance and other requirements.
    • Check that robust risk assessment and incident management systems are in place and followed across the organization.
    • Liaise with HR on health and wellbeing issues particularly where a risk assessment has identified a need, including supporting HR and line managers in carrying out individual risk assessments when required.
    • Lead projects and programs organized to educate and encourage employees on waste management and environment management.
    • Carry out performance appraisal process, approve leaves and identify the compensation gaps at the time of annual performance appraisal for the direct reports.
    • Design employee development plans as well as provide support and guidance to the subordinates, in this regard.

    • No. of reported incidents and accidents
    • Lost time injury frequency rate and lost time injury incidence rate
    • Equipment breakdowns
    • % of recycled hazardous and non-hazardous waste

    Qualifications and Experience:

    Bachelor’s degree in engineering(Chemical/Electrical/Mechanical or related field) with At least 5+ years of experience in fertilizer/petrochemicals/process plant or industry.
