Position Summary:

This position leads IT Infrastructure, IT Operations, OT and Service Management functions across the organization. It includes strategic oversight of networks, systems, SAP landscapes, datacenters, disaster recovery (DR) services, and IT operations, ensuring seamless connectivity between head office, plants, and remote sites. The role also integrates Operational Technology (OT) where applicable, aligning infrastructure and services with business needs while maintaining compliance, security, and operational efficiency. Reporting to senior management, this position drives strategic initiatives, operational excellence, and continuous improvement to meet organizational objectives.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

IT Infrastructure Strategy and Operations

  • Develop and execute enterprise-level IT infrastructure strategies aligned with business objectives and industry best practices.

  • Lead the planning, implementation, and optimization of infrastructure solutions including network systems, SAP landscapes, virtualization, storage, data centers, and disaster recovery (DR).

  • Oversee IT service management processes, ensuring reliable, secure, and efficient service delivery in line with ITIL standards.

  • Ensure seamless and secure connectivity across head office, manufacturing plants, and remote sites.

  • Assess and implement technology upgrades, system configurations, and infrastructure solutions to support evolving business needs.

  • Collaborate with SAP functional teams to ensure infrastructure readiness for upgrades, implementations, and ongoing operational support.

Operational Excellence and Service Delivery

  • Supervise IT operations including service desk, user support, and IT/OT security operations.

  • Maintain high availability, integrity, and performance of core infrastructure, including data centers, backup systems, storage, and DR environments.

  • Drive proactive monitoring, maintenance, and support for both IT infrastructure and operational technology (OT) systems.

  • Implement security frameworks covering patching, access controls, and vulnerability management.

  • Introduce service management tools to enhance efficiency and elevate user satisfaction.

Financial Management and Strategic Planning

  • Lead IT/OT budgeting and financial planning, balancing CAPEX and OPEX in line with business priorities.

  • Develop annual IT strategies and roadmaps; track progress through regular reviews and realignment.

  • Plan for future infrastructure needs through capacity planning and scalable architecture design.

Team Leadership and Development

  • Provide strategic direction, mentorship, and performance management to IT and OT teams.

  • Promote a high-performance culture by driving continuous learning, cross-functional collaboration, and accountability.

  • Oversee recruitment, training, and career development to maintain a skilled, motivated, and agile team.

  • Conduct performance appraisals and individual development planning to align team growth with organizational goals.

 

Specialized Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology

  • MBA with a specialization in Technology Management

  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) – Demonstrates deep expertise in IT security and risk management

  • Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) – Recognized authority in advanced network infrastructure

  • VMware Certified Professional – Data Center Virtualization (VCP-DCV) – Expertise in managing and optimizing virtualized environments

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) – Proven competence in leading complex technology projects

  • ITIL Master Certification – Mastery in IT service management aligned with business objectives

  • Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) – Strong knowledge of information security governance and risk management
