The Lead Analyst – MRP / Supply Planning is responsible for managing and optimizing Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and supply planning processes to ensure uninterrupted production and optimal inventory levels. The role partners closely with procurement, production, and logistics teams to translate demand into executable supply plans while improving planning accuracy, efficiency, and service levels.
Key Responsibilities
MRP & Supply Planning

Lead end-to-end MRP and supply planning activities across manufacturing and distribution operations.

Generate and maintain accurate material plans based on demand forecasts, production schedules, and inventory policies.

Ensure timely availability of raw materials, packaging, and finished goods to support production plans.

Monitor and manage inventory levels to balance service levels and working capital targets.
Demand & Supply Coordination

Collaborate with demand planning, sales, and operations teams to align supply plans with forecasted demand.

Participate in S&OP / IBP cycles and provide supply-side inputs and constraints.

Identify supply risks, capacity constraints, and material shortages; propose mitigation plans.
Procurement & Production Interface

Work closely with procurement to translate MRP outputs into purchase plans and supplier schedules.

Coordinate with production teams to align material availability with manufacturing schedules.

Track supplier performance, lead times, and material availability to improve planning accuracy.
Analytics & Continuous Improvement

Analyze planning data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for process improvement.

Develop KPIs and dashboards related to material availability, inventory turns, stock-outs, and planning accuracy.

Drive improvements in MRP parameters such as lead times, safety stock, lot sizes, and reorder points.
Systems & Process Management

Ensure effective use of ERP systems (SAP preferred) for MRP and supply planning.

Support system enhancements, master data accuracy, and planning process standardization.

Provide inputs for automation and digital supply chain initiatives.
Team Leadership & Stakeholder Management

Guide and support junior planners or analysts, ensuring high-quality planning outputs.

Act as a key point of contact for cross-functional stakeholders on supply planning matters.
