Purpose:
To lead and oversee the organization’s internal audit and compliance function, ensuring effective risk management, process improvement, adherence to regulatory requirements, and internal control systems across all departments. This role will drive a culture of integrity, transparency, and accountability.

Key Responsibilities:
Audit Management:
Lead planning, execution, and reporting of internal audits across functions including finance, operations, HR, supply chain, and IT.

Develop annual audit plans based on risk assessment in coordination with senior leadership.

Evaluate internal controls, identify gaps, and recommend process improvements.

Monitor the implementation of audit recommendations and corrective actions.

Compliance Oversight:
Ensure adherence to applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.

Develop and implement compliance programs, training, and awareness across the organization.

Monitor industry changes and regulatory updates, and recommend proactive compliance measures.

Liaise with regulatory bodies during inspections or audits.

Risk Management:
Support the enterprise risk management (ERM) framework by identifying, assessing, and mitigating key risks.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement risk control measures.

Regularly review and update risk registers and control matrices.

Reporting & Communication:
Present audit findings and compliance status to senior management and relevant committees.

Prepare accurate and timely reports for internal stakeholders and regulators.

Maintain a repository of audit documentation and compliance records.

Leadership & Team Development:
Lead and mentor the audit and compliance team.

Promote ethical behavior and foster a culture of continuous improvement.

Coordinate with external auditors and consultants as needed.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Law, or a related field.

Certification in CIA, CISA, CA, ACCA, or CFE preferred.

7–10 years of relevant experience in internal audit, risk, or compliance, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.

Skills Required:
Strong understanding of internal controls, risk assessment, audit techniques, and compliance frameworks.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Proficiency in MS Office, audit tools, and ERP systems (e.g., SAP).

Strong communication and presentation skills.
